Free templates for site paperwork
Daywork sheets, site diaries, daily activity briefings, labour allocation sheets, toolbox talk records, a permit to work register and a delay log. Each comes as a PDF to print and fill in by hand, and as an Excel spreadsheet that adds up any totals. Free to download, with no email needed, and each one has a guide to go with it.

Daywork sheet
Record the labour, plant and materials used on instructed daywork, with a box for the client's representative to sign on the day.

Site diary
A day's record for one area: weather, labour, work against the plan, deliveries, visitors and delays, signed off at the end of the shift.

Daily activity briefing (DABS)
Plan each area's activities, plant, permits and deliveries for the shift, with the toolbox talk, key risk and a sign-on sheet.

Labour allocation sheet
Book each person's hours against the day's activities, with totals by person and by activity, so every hour on site is accounted for.

Toolbox talk record
Record a toolbox talk: the topic, the key points, questions and actions, and a signature from everyone who attended.

Permit to work register
Log every permit issued on site: its number, type, location, who issued it and to whom, when it runs out and when it was closed.

Delay log
Log every delay on site from the day it starts to the day it clears: what stopped, what was in the way, who stood idle and who was told.
